In a Nutshell

I am a Chartered Certified Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor, providing accounting, taxation and business advice to a portfolio of clients. I am also a Director of England & Company, and together with Cheryl and Matt, I am responsible for the day to day management and strategic development of the firm.

Qualifications & Experience

I am an FCCA (Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and a CTA (Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation). I also hold an ACCA practising certificate and audit qualification. I have been a Director of England & Company since 2008.

Specialist Subjects

I work with a variety of clients in sectors including professional services, tech/digital, property development/construction, healthcare, manufacturing/engineering, aviation, hospitality as well as looking after high net worth business owners and individuals and trust structures.

As a Chartered Tax Advisor, I am involved in complex tax planning for businesses/individuals, including advising on company sale/acquisition transactions, EMI schemes, EIS and SEIS investments, remuneration planning, share/business valuations, estate planning, R&D tax credits, and corporate tax planning involving group structures/demergers /share for share exchanges.

In My Freetime

I live in Wimborne with my wife and we have two children, and now two grandchildren.

My main interests outside of work are football and boating. I sit on the board of directors of our local non-league football club, Wimborne Town FC, and I am also a season ticket holder at Liverpool FC – so more often than not I am at one match or another each weekend during the football season albeit at different ends of the country and the football pyramid.

In the summer months we aim to spend our free time boating along the Dorset Coast and the Solent, with longer trips to the Channel Islands or the West Country once or twice year, and I recently achieved the RYA Yachtmaster qualification.
